Parkrun domination, new PBs, a trip down the canal and a royally good half

Wednesday night saw nine club runners take on the second race in the Wolds Dash series at Hubbards Hills in Louth. Results will be shared once they’ve been published by the organisers.

Meanwhile going from strength to strength is Luke Haynes who knocked 20 seconds off his 5K PB last week in an even pace track attempt. Great effort Luke.

A group of runners from the club headed over to the Market Rasen parkrun on Saturday morning to smash even more PBs. Everyone had a great run but coming away with new PBs were Lee Mullen 16.15, Phillip Weaver 18.16 and Steve Welham 22.24. Fantastic effort everyone.

Also on their travels this weekend we’re Darren Fissenden and Leanne Rickett who travelled up north on Saturday to Leeds for the 10-mile summer extravaganza along the Leeds Liverpool canal. They both had a great race finishing first in their categories - Darren in 1.14.33 and Leanne 1.27.59.

Rounding off another great week for the club was Philip Donnor and Andrew Thompson who headed to Sandringham for a half marathon around the grounds of Sandringham Estate. Despite the hot conditions both had a great run, Andrew finishing in 1:32:25 and Philip in 1:36:40.
