Despite the wind and the rain this weekend, our runners donned their orange and black kit and ran their hearts out and shared their love for running.
Eleven of them were up and out early on Sunday morning to travel North to Scunthorpe to participate in the ‘Run your heart out Valentines 10k’. Our first male to finish was Luke Haynes (38:36) and first lady, Sarah Dowling, was not far behind him (45:37). Our other runners were Mark Haynes, Jack Hodgson, Michael Moody, Lora Hawkins, Magdalena Moody, Becky Hobson, Helena Shelton, Treena Atkin and Natasha Haynes.
Shawn and Sarah Thomas participated in the Valentines 10K virtually by running close to home. They were unable to attend the event in person as they were busy celebrating their 35th Wedding Anniversary! Congratulations!
Emmajean Hearn, Julie Goodwin, Amy Mitchell, Darren Fissenden, Kirsty Boulton, Angela Thompson and Mark Sands braved the windy conditions to take part in the ‘Stamford Striders St Valentine’s 30k’. The course in known for being hilly and our runners all did amazingly well!
Richard Gibbs and Alan Fountain travelled to Nottingham Holme Run Half Marathon. Richard claimed 1st place and achieved a personal best at this event!
Skegness and District Running Club continues to be a fully inclusive club, offering dedicated training to runners of all abilities. We have training nights throughout the week in Skegness, Boston, Spilsby & Horncastle. See our Website for further details.
