This year parkrun fell on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day it was lovely to see Skegness and District runners out all over the county in their festive running gear.
The first race of the year was as always Cleethorpes New Years 10km A brilliantly organised club favourite. This year for one reason or another was a little quieter than usual however Skegness and District running club was still represented by 6 runners. First home for the club was Matt West in a time 41.26 followed by Mark Lyon, Dave Kenton, Fran Stimson and Andy Mackinder first and only lady for the club was the wonderful Sally Sharp in 1.07.

Jimmy and Emmajean Hearn ran a virtual 10km for RAF Marham benevolent fund. Virtual runs have been a great alternative to the traditional race since Covid hit as a way of runners still collecting our much converted bling and help raise funds for charities in a such hard times.

If you would like to make it your New Years resolution to run more why not join us on one of our club nights? There’s a pace for everyone.
