This weeks action started on a warm and muggy Wednesday night in Croxby near Market Rasen.
The Croxby Crawl 2 lap time trial is hosted by Cleethorpes AC, and saw two members of Skegness and District compete.
Steven Dowse was first over the line for SADRC, and second overall in a time of 55.32. Mark Collingwood crossed the line in 103.31 to also post a top ten finish. On a course that included "Heartbreak Hill", this was a brilliant performance from them both.
By Sunday things were really starting to hot up, but that didn't deter four members of the club running the Thurlby 10K.
This undulating course proved tough in the sweltering heat, but once again the club posted some remarkable results.
Philip Weaver says it is the hardest race he has ever run, his knee gave way with just 50 metres to go, however he showed great spirit to finish the race in 4th place overall in a time of 40.36.
Next back for the club was Andrew Thompson in 42.19, then Andy Johnson in 46.36 and Leo Weaver in 46.55.
The temperatures may be rising, but our members continue to work hard to get the results they deserve. As a club, we have run over 1,172 miles this week. Club Night runs, Solo runs, Early morning runs and "My Goodness I'm Melting" runs.
