Tis the season to be jolly, and with any reason to dress up Skegness Running Club will take it. Nearly twenty members put on a santa suit this weekend, for Bostons 2nd Santa Run. A 5k family fun run, weaving in and out of Boston with 400 other santas!!!. The sun shone and the rain stayed away, making for lots of fun raising money for charity. Also enjoying the santa fun, Mark and Luke Haynes ran at Lincoln, well done everyone.
Also with the sun shining on them in lovely Malaga, six members of the club took their running shoes on holiday. Five completing the half marathon. Andy Shelton in a good time of 1hr 44 minutes following injury, then Julie Goodwin in 2hrs 18. Finishing together Helena Shelton and Carol Daulat in 2hrs 58. Will Daulat also completed the lovely Spanish race. Well done everyone. Taking on the full marathon, after an impressive years running, was Mark Lyon. Knocking an amazing 15minutes off his London marathon time, Mark finished in 3hrs 18 minutes. Congratulations, muy bien !!!!
Last week of club running for 2019 will be this week! After that, back on the 2nd January 2019.
