Run Rabbit Trial Festival

A festival. A festival of running. A festival of running with multiple medals.

Kirsty Boulton and Amy Mitchell both traveled for a weekend of running. The first stage of the challenge is a different 5km course on the hour, every hour, for five hours. The evening consists of a trial twilight 10km course followed by a half marathon race on Sunday morning! Crazy running!

I think they both ran in every type of weather possible during July. Hailstone, rain, wind, sunshine, thunder...the list could go on! 35.23 miles covered in 2 days. What a fantastic achievement. At the end of the event, if you finish in the top 6, you then have a straight 1 mile race for "the carrot." Market Harborough might be on the list of events a few more SADRC might attend next year!

Becki Atkinson and Steven Dowse took part in the Andy Mans Club 10km Trail run on Sunday. A run to support a fantastic charity which encourages everyone to remember "its ok to talk." The run was tough as it was off road and full of hills. Becki said "it was tough...but a very rewarding run." Steven did finish the race first in a time of 37.15 with Becki finishing in the top 5 females in a time of 55.52. Great running from you both showing that the running community is such a fantastic community to be part of because of how supportive it is.

Lots of training runs happening over the weekend. Dawn, Lee and Kate running a half marathon. Paul Jackson and Chris Hurst both running the same route training for the marathon! Phillip Weaver getting ready for the Marathon in Chester in the autumn. Kate Carpenter also ran a half today. It seems like today was the day for half's....apparently we love to run in the wind!

Keep it up SADRC, fantastic running!
