This weekend saw Mark Sands heading up north for the Dambuster 10.
Back for its 10th edition, this 10-mile run winds through the beautiful Derwent valley, surrounded by the elevated fells of the Peak District National Park.
Mark’s going from strength to strength following an injury earlier this year, proven by finishing in an impressive 4th place in this race with a time of 1.10.07.
Great result Mark!
Sunday this week saw club runners take on the ever popular Gainsborough and Morton 10km.
Despite the windy conditions, it was a really successful day for the club with a whole host of PBs too.
First back for the club, and with a shiney new PB, was Lee Mullen (33.28), followed by Brian Hawkins (38.34).
Next back, also with PBs, were Phil Weaver (38.39) and Simon Wise (39.52)
They were followed by Mark Collingwood (42.03) and Chris Hurst (44.21) who bagged a new PB - worth the wait Chris!
Other runners for club enjoying this mostly flat route were Ben Liversidge (47.22), Janet Harmston (50.40), Ian Walker (55.46), Sarah Smith (1.00.17), Jane Martin (1.00.16) and Rob Godard (1.17.53).
Also, hitting an incredible milestone this week, was Emmajean Hearn who took part in her 450th ParkRun!
What a fantastic achievement Emmajean, congratulations!
Brilliant running as always everyone.
