Sunday 19th June

Friday night saw the return of the Summer Soltice 10k hosted by Grantham Running club. Despite taking place on the hottest day of the year, Skegness and District had a fine turn at this race which is always well represented (this has nothing to do with the free ale at the end).

Inevitably the 28 degree temperature had an effect on our runners, not a day for PB's but as always they gave their best on the day, and did the club proud.

First back for the club was Richard Gibbs in 37.01, followed by Steven Dowse 37.49 and Philip Weaver 40.38.

For the ladies, they were led in by Sarah Dowling 47.16 , followed by Amy Lambley 53.05 and Amy Mitchell 54.58.

Our other finishers were Brian Darrington 41.57, Andy Shelton 45.44, Darren Fissenden 47.42, Chris Hurst 49.40, Lee Cook 55.29, Alan Fountain 56.20, Louise Darrington 1.05.25, Sam Fox 1.05.26, Lora Hawkins 1.07.38, Julie Goodwin 1.08.17, Sarah Thomas 1.08.17, Shawn Thomas 11.08.17, Hilary Speller 1.08.58.

Carol Daulat completed the Humber Bridge 10k today and was pleased to be running. Derrick Carpenter and Julie Goodwin ran the Sandringham Half Marathon today in 1.37 and 2.24 respectively.
