Wednesday night saw Twelve members of Skegness and District running club take on the Clickem Inn 5 Miler at Swinhope, Nr. Binbrook. It was a beautiful evening for a run which saw Paul Jackson come home first for the club in an impressive time of 29.31. Our first Lady back was Julie Goodwin in a time of 46.04. If you feel like you missed out...never fear, Wolds Vets are holding two more 5 milers on 19th June and 14th August. Well done to everyone that took part!

This weekend saw the Liverpool Rock n Roll Series, an event that is always popular with the Club. The Series includes a One Mile Race, 5k, Half Marathon and Full Marathon over the Course of the Two days.

Saturday saw our runners take on the 5k distance. Rebecca Grice led the way with a fantastic new Personal Best time of 27.06. Following close behind was Carol & Will Daulat (34.17), Hannah Chapman ( 37.07) and with his first run as a Skegness and District Club member Robert Naylor ( 37.08). We hope you enjoy many more runs with the club Robert, welcome aboard.

Sunday Morning started bright and early with the One Mile Race. Rebecca Grice took to the streets of Liverpool once again to the complete the distance, before joining fellow club members for the Half Marathon, and recording a time of 2.16.40. It was Ian Dexter's first ever run at Half Marathon Distance which he finished in a time of 2.09.01. Will and Carol Daulat also gave their all to finish with new Personal Best times. Will in 2.07.18 and Carol in 2.40.58. Our other Half Marathon finishers were Craig Tuplin ( 2.15.57), Helena Shelton (2.40.58), and Hannah Chapman (3.02.18).

We had two Skegness and District members take on the Full Marathon distance at Liverpool. Rob Goddard proudly finished his first marathon in a time of 4.51.52, with Lora Hawkins coming in soon afterwards in 5.02.33. A fantastic achievement by you both. Enjoy the party guys!

Moving Away from Liverpool, and our Serial Marathoner Guy Hatton was once again in action, this time taking on the mighty Edinburgh Marathon for his 47th running of this distance. He found it tough today, but dug deep to finish in a time of 4.37.48.

The Humber Bridge 10k was the destination for Jeff Shelton, though he didn't achieve a Personal Best today, he thoroughly enjoyed the event.

And finally the Hearns headed down to our Nations Capital to compete in the Westminster Mile around Buckingham Palace. Emmajean and Jimmy were joined by daughter Sophie in a race that also saw Mo Farah and Laura Muir compete. Hope you all had an amazing experience.

So this week saw our members travel all over the country to compete in races from One Mile to Full Marathon, and they made us all proud as usual.

Next week sees our very own Bolingbroke Breaker. This takes place on Wednesday 29th May at 7.15pm from the Black Horse Inn at Old Bolingbroke. Its just £4.00 entry, with Free Parking and sweets or a chocolate bar to all finishers. Come along and support us, we guarantee a great nights running.
