Sunday 27th November

It's been a quiet weekend for members of Skegness and District this week, with just one race attended.

Sunday morning saw Richard Gibbs and Steven Dowse travel to Doncaster to compete in the Doncaster 10k event.

Richard just missed out on a PB time but still finished in 17th place with a time of 33.47.

Steven recorded his 3rd fastest 10k time with a 36.00 minute finish, and was 70th overall.

With less races over the winter months, it's the perfect time of year to get together for some club social runs. This morning saw members of the club gather in Horncastle for an hours run, followed by snacks in a local café. These events are always well attended, a testament to the comradery within the club, and also our insatiable appetite for cake!

As the year draws to a close, its time to look back at our members greatest performances, as our Christmas Party and Awards ceremony are just around the corner.

This year has seen some fine performances, the usual ups and downs, and fights back to fitness, but remember everyone of us that laces up our trainers and heads out the door is a winner.

Skegness and District Running Club continues to be a fully inclusive club, offering dedicated training to runners of all abilities. We have training nights throughout the week in Skegness, Boston, Spilsby & Horncastle. See our Website for further details.
