Retford Half Marathon

6 runners took to the Hilly Streets of Retford to Complete this Half Marathon! 5 Gentleman and 1 Lady!

All 5 men crossed the line within 8 minutes of each other. Their is nothing better than healthy competition between runners, especially in house! Phillip Weaver took the gong for SADRC in 1:25:50, followed by Andrew Thompson 23 seconds later!

Richard Burrows crossed in 1:27:53. Andy Shelton finished the course in 1:31:53 with Ash Brown 3 minutes later in 1:34:10. Fantastic running for the guys! Incredible running all coming in so close together.

Helena Shelton took one for the ladies and crossed the line in 2:46:45. This was Helena's first half in well over a year! Back to being a Half Marathon Runner on a tough course!

Congratulations to all 6 SADRC runners!

North Lincolnshire Half Marathon

North Lincolnshire Half Forever to be known as....The Square Course! A course which did live up to its name...."The Fast, Flat and Friendly Route!"

14 members took to the dizzy heights of Scunthorpe. The North Lincolnshire was past on the way to this race. Some members have done this race 4 times, but some it was their first time.

Richard Gibbs finished 17th overall today, with a crown of runners well over 1400 runners!

Richard crossed the line on the Quibell Park Track in 1:12:59. Matt West finished in 1:28:53 as the second SADRC member over the line followed by Ben Liversidge in 1:48:35 (who I must say, brought a fantastic race crew to cheer and support along.)

For the Ladies, Janet Harmston crossed the line in 1:50:45 aswell as finishing 1st in her age category with it being presented at the end of the race! Fantastic running Janet. Second lady over the line for SADRC was Ruth Bullen only 16 seconds behind Janet. Corrine Tomlin finished in 2:07:20.

It was great to see so many people on the course, and so much support. Groups seem to finish with Kirsty and Cheryl finishing within seconds of each other. Sarah and Shawn finished together as did Kate and Julia.

Rebecca Grice finished the race with it being her first Half Marathon in 19 months due to injury. Its great to see people coming back from injury, accross both Half Marathons this weekend!

Congratulations to you all!

Oundle 20 Miler

Chris Hurst went solo this weekend and travelled to take part in the ever popular Oundle 20 Miler. This 20 mile course is a mixture of quiet country lanes and pretty villages. Chris crossed the line sub 3hours in a time of 2:53:55.

Chris was chuffed with his race performance especially beating his previous time by 11 minutes. Great consistent pacing which is always great when Marathon Training!

Congratulations Chris!
