Sunday 8th May
Caythorpe Dash. A brand new route for the 2022 edition of the dash. multi-terrain run along the scenic Lincolnshire Ridge, taking in tracks, bridle paths, footpaths and minor roads through the Ridge farmland.
We had 3 club runners attend this race. Amy Mitchel ran a great race, running well under sub 2 hours with a time of 1hr 56. Jess Gilbert ran with her friend finishing across the line in 2hr18. Kirsty Boulton completed the race with her friend Sammie, and they both finished in a time of 2hr37. Amy described the race as a very "pretty route" but the only struggle was only having one water station at 6.5 miles, considering the muggy temperatures, was a bit disappointing. All 3 ladies ran incredibly well, and what a beautiful day to run the race!
Janine Baker and Ian Kocko ran the Authorpe Village 10km on this beautiful Sunday morning. A most defiantly undulating course which always felt like it was running uphill....where were the downhills?!? Both enjoyed the race with Ian crossing the line in just over 57 minutes and Janine getting under the 1hr in a time of 59.34 seconds.
Jeff Shelton travelled to Eye to run the 10km for a bottle of the famous, joggers tipple, limited edition queens platinum jubilee bottle of ale! Another great run, in fantastic sunny conditions, crossing the line in 52.20. Great Running Jeff!
