Sunday brought near perfect conditions for Woodhall 10km. There was a superb turnout of over 40 members, plus the return of the club Gazebo which became a post race picnic site. There was too many fantastic performances and PBS to mention in one report but well done to everyone who took part, there are a few special mentions below.
Lee Mullen was 4th overall and 1st in the 35-39 cat with a pb of 32.17. Andrew Thompson and Paul Jackson won their age categories 40-44 & 50-54.
Jenny Hunt was first back for the clubs females with her first sub 45 10km. Claire Harness broke the magical hour Barrier for the first time paced by Sally Sharp with Shaun & Sarah Thomas also breaking that mark for the first time since pre-covid. Phillip Prowse knocked a minute off his PB paced by Andy Shelton.
Earlier in the week SADRC had 7 members conquered the notorious Croxby Crawl 2 lapper, just under 9 miles of rolling hills in the glorious countryside including two times up the infamous heartbreak hill. Mark Sands was first back for the club and 5th overall followed by Phil weaver in 7th, Chris Hurst in 25th, James Willis in 37th & Phil Prowse in 50th. For the ladies we had Janet Harmston in 51st followed by Alex South in 57th.
Thank you to Steven Dowse and Rebecca Atkinson for this week’s fantastic race report!
