Sunday 14th Aug



Races for the weekend kicked off on Friday with an evening run which is always popular for SADRC runners Sleaford 10km there were 9 members representing the club. First home was Mark Sands in 4th place overall in 37.26 followed by Brian Darrington (40.47) Andy Johnson (43.50) Darren Fissenden (45.24) First Lady back for the club was Sarah Downing in (46.08) then Amy Lambley (52.29) Amy Mitchel (53.48) Samatha Fox (57.26) and Louise Darrington (59.19) they were supported by own own cheerleader Becca who cheered everyone on while she’s recovering from a knee injury by all accounts you could here her all the way round the course!



Shawn and Sarah travelled to Skeggies coastal cousin Blackpool on Saturday for the spectauar night time 10km run the lights race in 1.05. The race started at 9pm and went down the promenade lit by the famous illuminations they are already planning on running this one again!



Sundays scorcher of a day included the Newark half marathon. First back for SADRC was Lee Mullen with a Pb in a time of 1.23 finishing 39th out of 607

Ruth Bullen completed in a time of 1.58 and a first in her age category. Lee Cook also completed the half in a time of 2.12.



Angela Thompson ran the challenging Belper Rover 30km and respite a number of cuts and bruises due to a few thrills and spills she still managed to be First Lady back in a time of 2.27.


The Kenyons took on the trail outlaws branches and bays 10km a beautiful

Trail run in County Durham through Durham wildlife trust and national trust Hawthorn Dene. Dave crossed the finish line in a time of 1.29 and Roenel completed in 1.48



Well done everyone who has run the the last few days it’s been very hot and there was still plenty of impressive results. If you would like to become a member of an inclusive and friendly club please get in touch. We run in Spilsby on Tuesday, Horncastle on wed and on a Thursday we run in Boston as well as Skegness.
