Brighton Marathon
We have a MARATHON RUNNER in our club today! A huge congratulations to Becky Atkinson who today ran the Brighton Marathon Weekend this weekend!
Becky has been training for months now, putting in the hard miles and hills to go out there and smash it! And Smash it she did...a HUGE 26 minute PB finishing in a time of 04:26:26
Becky is raising money for a charity close to her heart, Andy's Man Shed charity and is trying to raise £500 over 2 marathons. Brighton and then another in the autumn! Congratulations....and enjoy the celebration
London Landmarks Half Marathon
The one with the golden tickets. We had our fab duo of Dave and Lee who took to the streets of London to take part in this fantastic event. Go big or go home for this one! It's crazy, loud and has so much along the streets of London...including a Harry Potter Tri Wizard Cup!
Congratulations to Dave who smashed through his PB in a time of 1hr48. A great effort in a very busy event. Lee, who has been supporting marathon runners with their long runs crossed the line in 2hr05!
Great running from you both, both took the same style selfie and looked like you both had a great time
Rutland Half Marathon
Kirsty Bolton traveled to Rutland to take part in the Rutland Half Marathon this morning! Kirsty is hoping to run 10 half marathons this year and this adds to the collections! Kirsty crossed the line in 2hr15 on a beautiful course. Some members have already added it to their running bucket list for next year!
Brighton 10km
Congratulations to Steven Dowse who ran the Brighton 10km today! Steven ran his 3rd fastest 10km time coming in 35th out of an incredible 2700 people!! A great run!!
Well Done to you both! What an amazing run!
