Sunday 30th January
Another XC race and this time at Boston. A brand-new course. The course started at the local Park Run location but also across the local fields making it a perfect and challenging XC route.
We had a great turn out of runners with new runners making XC a regular event. It was fantastic to see Heather back running, and this race being her first back in Lincolnshire. Welcome back Heather.
The men had a great race with some adding it to their long run day runs. Bravo to Darren who is long run training and added this run to the end of the run. The race route was 5.7 miles in this XC race. First over the line was Matt West who was ran very strong, followed by Ed Crawford and Andrew Thompson. Andrew is one of our newest members based at Boston.
From the Ladies, a 5km race route, a strong race from Jade Brown followed by Sarah Dowling. Sarah came in 8th today and is a keen XC’er. Third over the line was Emma Jean Hearne who overtook Julie Goodwin just on the last lap.
A fantastic run from everyone in the sunshine today.
